INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES 

CSK Internship Program offers recent graduates and individuals at an early phase of their career the opportunity to gain direct practical experience in their area of expertise while receiving mentorship and couching on the key soft skills needed for a highly successful career.

 

Through our internship program, selected candidates will receive:

  • Further training and mentorship in their area of expertise from highly skilled and experienced individuals.

  • Mentorship and couching on the key soft skills for a successful career, including on: integrity communication skills, interpersonal skills, attention to details, work ethics, time management, priority setting, problem solving, creativity, presentation skills etc.

  • Opportunities to attend trainings on research skills of their choice.

  • Further, candidates aspiring to work as research consultants will be mentored on the key skills needed for a successful career as a research consultant, including proposal writing for consultancy opportunities, negotiation skills for renumeration, communication skills with clients, etc.

 

What else to Expect from CSK:

  • Selected candidates will be offered a working desk at CSK offices, located in Sinza Mori, Dar es salaam, Tanzania.

  • Further, all interns will receive a minimal monthly allowance to cover lunch and daily travelling costs to and from CSK offices, and

  • Up on excellent performance, there is a possibility for a full-time job opportunity with CSK.

 

General Requirements

To be considered for an internship at CSK, candidates must meet the following general requirements:

  • Must be aged below 40 years.

  • Should be a recent graduate or at an early phase of their career.

  • Should be proficient in English language.

  • Must have a great passion in their area of expertise.

  • Should have a high level of self-motivation, commitment, and dedication.

 

Currently, CSK is recruiting interns for the following positions:

1. Research Consultants (2 positions)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Participating in and providing support to the research design including development of quantitative and qualitative data collection instruments.

  • Participating in planning and execution of data collection and management activities

  • Providing quality oversight and assurance of collected data to ensure the completeness and accuracy.

  • Developing and executing data analysis plans

  • Participating in data analysis and report writing.

  • Participating in the presentation of findings, conclusions and recommendations as requested.

  • Participating in training of other staff members in relevant research skills.

 

Specific requirements:

  • Proficiency in key research skills such as research design, data collection, data analysis, report writing and presentation of research findings. 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficiency in data analytical software e.g., stata, spss, R etc. to process large amounts of raw data.

  • Strong data visualization skills is an added advantage.

2. Receptionist/Guests Attendant (1 position)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Receiving walk-in guests, make them comfortable and helping them navigate through the office,

  • Answering telephone calls to take messages from clients or to provide information.

  • Supplying visitors with refreshments.

  • Maintaining calendars for appointments,

  • Assisting with a variety of administrative tasks including making copies, taking notes, and making travel plans.

  • Preparing meeting and training rooms.

  • Performing ad-hoc administrative duties.

 

Specific requirements:

  • Relevant training in a related field.

  • Charming and welcoming

  • Consistent, professional dress, and manner.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

3. Finance Assistant (1 position)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Keeping track of finances.

  • Preparing financial statements,

  • Processing invoices, and

  • Supporting other employees throughout any accounting processes.

Specific requirements:

  • Relevant training in accounting or finance.

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.

  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping.

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Detail-oriented.

 

4. Social Media Administrator (1 position)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Formulating high-quality social media posts

  • Running company social media advertising campaigns.

  • Building a social media presence by maintaining a solid online presence.

  • Monitoring the company's brand on social media.

  • Managing our online communities to ensure respectful and appropriate engagement.

  • Responding to comments on each of our accounts.

  • Overseeing customer service provided via social media.

  • Analyzing data to determine whether social media campaigns have achieved their objectives.

  • Coaching other employees’ company-wide on social media engagement and best practices.

 

Specific requirements:

  • Relevant training in social media marketing, development of social media strategies and/or brand management on social media.

  • Ability to develop the right voice for each social media platform.

  • Understanding of graphic design principles.

  • Ability to measure the success of campaigns.

 

5. Videographer/Photographer (1 position)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Film videos on set or on location.

  • Ensure that equipment for a shoot is present and working.

  • Plan the shoot with the creative team and the client.

  • Edit footage in post-production.

  • Direct other camera operators so that the needed footage is acquired.

 

Specific requirements:

  • Proficiency with camera equipment.

  • A general passion and interest in film and video editing (previous samples of work preferred)

  • Excellent computer literacy.

  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver content (video) that meets brand standards and guidelines

  • Proficiency with editing software such as PhotoShop.

  • High level of creativity and ability to provide professional insight and advice to produce best results.

  • The ability to manage multiple projects and adjust shifting priorities as they change

  • An engaging, upbeat personality that makes those not used to being filmed comfortable with the camera is a plus.
